About Jaylene Johnson

Jaylene is a certified CHEF and INSTRUCTOR. She received her certification through CHERIE SORIA's LIVING LIGHT CULINARY ARTS INSTITUTE www.rawfoodchef.com in California in 2002. She received her professional training there, as well as much practical training in her home where she has been honestly and kindly critiqued by her food-loving family. She is married to a hard working, wonderful and patient husband, Evan. They have been blessed with eight children, ranging from the ages of 35 to 17, (6 boys and 2 girls) 5 of them married to wonderful spouses, along with 10 amazing grandchildren. Jaylene's professional training, modified to her family's tastes, has helped her to create taste-tested recipes. She specializes in feeding her family fresh, ripe, raw, organic, plant-based foods.

Jaylene, along with her daughter Kelsi, has also been trained and received her certificate from the ANN WIGMORE NATURAL HEALTH INSTITUTE www.annwigmore.org in 2004, where they actually saw people heal from very serious dis-eases in their bodies. They both observed, firsthand, that as we give our bodies the nutrients they were created to receive, they will begin to heal themselves in a very miraculous way.

Jaylene has been a participant in the CHEF'S SHOWCASE in the PORTLAND RAW FOOD FESTIVAL, and has had the association with many of the well known chefs, whom she has been blessed to learn from.

Jaylene returned to LLCAI with her daughter Kelsi (where she received her initial certification as a chef) in the summer of 2006 to complete courses in RECIPE DEVELOPMENT as well as ETHNIC FOODS.

Along with her passion to study food that nourishes our bodies, Jaylene is passionate about fitness and has been a diligent exercise enthusiast since 1974 after taking a course, Aerobics for life (by Kenneth Cooper). She added the discipline of Pilate's to her fitness training after taking a training course during that same year.

In the summer of 2007, Jaylene received training and completed a certification course from Dr. Doug Graham www.foodnsport.com in the SCIENCE OF NUTRITION AND PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE. Dr. Doug assists in the physical training of many world class athletes and assists the athletes with the consumption of their highest form of nutrition...whole, fresh, ripe, raw, organic, plant food. Dr. Graham is the author of many books.

Jaylene also had the opportunity to certify in the INTRODUCTION TO THE SCIENCE OF RAW FOOD NUTRITION while in California, along with gathering much information as she attended many varied classes that were presented during the 2007 food expo in Fort Bragg, California.

She returned to California for two weeks in November 2007 to complete CERTIFICATION COURSES- LEVEL ONE AND TWO, as well as the EDUCATOR COURSE for the INSTRUCTION of the SCIENCE OF LIVING FOOD NUTRITION. These courses were taught by Drs. Rick and Karin Dina, professors at a university. Jaylene was also intrigued with the information presented there by Dr. Doug Lisle, the author of the book, The Pleasure Trap.

Jaylene's fascination with the science and the magnificence of the human body continues to grow and expand as she continues to learn.

  • May 2010 is when Jaylene will receive her certification in the modality of face zoning. This modality helps to balance our mental body, rising our awareness about our own beliefs, and mental formations which have influenced our life and health. Our eating has a strong connection to our emotions, which, when balanced can empower us to move forward more easily in the direction of our dreams.
  • This Sept.2010, Jaylene will return to California to take LEVEL THREE of THE SCIENCE OF RAW FOOD NUTRITION along with the ADVANCED EDUCATOR course.
  • Jaylene will again return to LLCAI in Nov. of 2010 to add 2 more classes, the unbaked pastry class, along with the catering and elegant entertaining class.

Jaylene's intense passions seem to increase as she studies various ways we can live, learn, and lead healthy vibrant lives. Her studies of exercise, nutrition, and health, which began over 35 years ago, along with her life-experiences, have assisted her in teaching and nurturing her very active family, as well as many others over the years. She has an extremely active family who has all been blessed to experience much energy and health. Her family enjoys many activities together, such as backpacking, boating, running, skiing, soccer, etc...all of which require much VITALITY.

Jaylene has a strong belief the "HE WHO CREATES THE BODY. HEALS THE BODY". She believes our bodies are a great blessing, that we each have a unique and individual beauty, and that these VITALITY FOODS, with their high frequencies and vibrations, can empower us with our best health and the ability to radiate our inner beauty outward. As we raise our vibrations, our ability to think and create positive thoughts within ourselves also rises, making it possible to manifest our truth. "As a man thinketh, so is he."

Jaylene has a strong commitment to keep her body functioning at her own optimal level - emotionally, socially, spiritually, and physically. Her mission is to continue to increase her knowledge of truth as she shares what she has been blessed to learn, thus far, with those that have an interest in their health and well being.

Jaylene teaches the HOW COMES and the HOW TO's of the LIVING FOOD LIFESTYLE.

She has the skills and the knowledge to help others prepare VITALITY FOODS quickly and easily, as well as beautifully... for themselves, their families, and their friends.

"It was my pleasure to work with Jaylene for one month at Living Light Culinary Arts Institute where she trained to be a chef and Instructor. I found her to be a dedicated student who is very knowledgeable and thorough. She is a strong woman who is dedicated to helping her family stay healthy through a raw foods diet. I highly recommend Jaylene as a Chef and Instructor."

ABOUT KELSI

Chef Kelsi (17) is an active and involved teen-ager who has also studied in Puerto Rice and has attended classes at LLCAI. Kelsi has been an example for good to her peers and many others around her, exemplifying how choosing 'enzyme-rich' foods can increase vibrancy... ever since she awoke one day about six years ago choosing to eat living plant based foods. She has also become certified in the art of face zoning which can help heal the body and uplift our thoughts.

Kelsi is dedicated to doing her part to keep her body fit and healthy. She was part of the girls' varsity soccer team in high school and has a continuing program of fitness.

Kelsi has a lot of positive energy around her. She has been part of the leadership at Idaho Falls high school, serving as class representative, girls federation vice president, etc.

As Kelsi ("healthy Kelsi" is a term of endearment by close friends) has gone through her teenage years eating 'living' plant based foods, her example to others (of all ages) who also desire to live a healthy life style, is extremely powerful and motivating!

About Evan

Evan's occupational training is in the field of dentistry. He is an excellent dentist and keeps abreast of all the current techniques and procedures.

Evan was raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and went to Oregon health Science center to receive his DMD.

At home, he is the 'grower of our greens' as well as the 'juiceman' — diligently making our family's juices day in and day out.

He is an amazing dad and husband, and is such a support in teaching the VITALITY FOOD CLASSES — helping to answer questions and bring clarity and focus.

Jaylene's "Forget Cooking" class was a wealth of information. My favorite part was the food and tasting! It was helpful to see if I liked the recipes and, later, to compare with mine as I try to make them.

-Julie Alverson, Idaho Falls, Idaho
